Following a 2-0 start, which included a win over LSU, the Trojans (4-5, 2-5 Big Ten) have struggled to build on the positive momentum and enter their bye week as losers of four of their last five games. USC dropped its matchup last week 26-21 to Washington after struggling to find any rhythm on offense.

Coming out of the bye week, the Trojans will make a big switch in their lineup with UNLV transfer Jayden Maiava set to take over the starting position over Miller Moss. In his first year as the starter, Moss had completed 233 of 362 passes (64.4%) for 2,555 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Moss had seven interceptions over the last five games, including three vs. the Huskies.

The Trojans return to action in Week 12 when they host Big Ten conference foe Nebraska in Los Angeles. USC will play three straight games to close the season, including the season-finale with Notre Dame in the annual rivalry matchup. The Trojans need two wins to avoid missing a bowl game for the first time since 2021 and the first time under Riley.
