The Miami Dolphins and their league-leading offense are set to be bolstered by the return of a special rookie running back in Week 11.

De'Von Achane is being activated off injured reserve and will take the field Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, the team announced.

The 22-year-old missed the last four weeks due to a knee injury he sustained during a 31-16 win over the New York Giants in Week 5. He attempted to keep playing with the injury, but the Dolphins decided to place him on injured reserve ahead of Week 6.

Miami opened the 21-day practice window for Achane on Monday. He seems poised to make an immediate impact, considering that the NFL was barely able to catch up to his production while he was out.

He's still tied for the league lead in carries over 20 yards, with six. He's joined by Minnesota Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs, Indianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss and teammate Raheem Mostert.

Achane also tops the NFL in carries over 40 yards, with four. In five games, he averaged 12.1 yards per carry and recorded five touchdowns.

Of course, it doesn't always bode well to make conjectures about future performances based on what players have already accomplished. And returns from injury can be especially unpredictable. NFL Network reporter Cameron Wolfe knows that, so he asked head coach Mike McDaniel himself.

For all the fantasy football managers looking to determine whether Achane is a must-start this week, the video is a must-watch:

After joking about the strategic nature of the question, McDaniel basically said he's not sure. It sounds like he'll defer to Achane, who "really wants to play."

McDaniel added that Achane was "un-tackleable" during Monday's practice. But that doesn't necessarily mean Achane will be full go. He mentioned the team is stacked with rushing threats, which contributes to the possibility of Achane being eased back in.

In other Dolphins news, wide receiver Robbie Chosen was signed to the practice roster. He and offensive lineman Chasen Hines were elevated for Sunday's game.
