Stafford McDowall’s seventh Scotland cap will not live long in the memory.

The Dundrennan star was a late replacement at Scottish Gas Murrayfield as Scotland went down 32-15 to South Africa.

The Glasgow Warriors player, who was part of the youth set-up at Stewartry, came off the bench with eight minutes left when he replaced debutant and Warriors team-mate Tom Jordan.
