Liverpool have under two months to wait before the January transfer window officially opens. The Reds have been enjoying a successful season in Arne Slot's first year as the club's new head coach.

The November international break is in full swing, and Liverpool are top of both the Premier League and the Champions League standings. The Reds return to action on November 23 when they travel to face Southampton in the top flight, as they look to build on their five-point advantage over Manchester City.

It remains to be seen what Liverpool have for the January transfer window when it opens. Even though there are still several weeks before new signings can be added to the squad, rumours are already starting to swirl about the business that the Reds may look to conduct in the New Year.

Here, the ECHO takes a look at some of the latest transfer news and gossip that has generated headlines over the last 24 hours.

Eintracht Frankfurt have sent an Omar Marmoush message to Liverpool amid continued transfer links with the player. The Reds have been credited with an interest in signing Marmoush over the last few weeks, with rumours intensifying as the forward's form in the Bundesliga continues.

Tuesday saw Frankfurt send a message to Liverpool on X, formerly known as Twitter, quoting a tweet which referenced an accomplishment my Marmoush. The original post referenced Marmoush and Mohamed Salah as two of only three players in Europe with at least 10 goals and 10 assists to their name already this season.

Frankfurt's message read: "Things we love to see, Liverpool. Salah [handshake emoji] [Egypt emoji] Marmoush."

Reports have claimed in recent weeks that Marmoush could be tempted to move to the Premier League, which could give Liverpool the advantage. This, it has been suggested, could be due to Marmoush wanting to link up with his compatriot, Salah, at Anfield.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are being linked with a move for PSV Eindhoven star Ricardo Pepi. According to Caught Offside, the Reds are the club that are showing the strongest interest in signing Pepi ahead of the January transfer window.

The report claims that Liverpool will face competition from Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid. It has been reported that PSV could be tempted to let Pepi - a United States international - leave either in January or next summer if an offer worth €25 million (£20.8 million) is submitted.
