Omer Riza says he's pleased by the 'constructive' talks held with the Cardiff City hierarchy, as the uncertainty over his long-term future continues to rumble on.

The interim boss oversaw a dramatic late comeback from his side, as they struck twice in three minutes to snatch a 2-1 win over Norwich City at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday, with Callum O'Dowda's winner coming in the 92nd minute.

The result stretches Cardiff's unbeaten run to six games ahead of the trip to Luton Town on Wednesday night, and the case for giving the current interim boss the job full-time has perhaps been further strengthened by this latest win.

"It was a really emotional day today," he said after the win over the Canaries. "These are the things that you can't explain sometimes. It was emotional at the end with the players in the changing room.

"Just credit to them. It's a great result. A great comeback against a great opposition. They're a very good side, and we managed to beat them. So credit to the boys."

Riza had said before the game that he was due to hold talks with the club's hierarchy, presumably to discuss the potential next course of action in their search for a permanent boss.

However, it appears discussions have already happened, with Riza clearly happy to keep overseeing first team matters - for the time being at least.

"We had a good constructive meeting yesterday," he said. "And we move forward. I was really happy with the meetings and I'm sure the board will, in due course, talk with you guys.

"I've been working hard for a long time for a position like this. The opportunity's come around and I'm thankful for it. I think everyone's applying themselves the right way, and we're getting the results. I like to think everyone's happy and we'll keep moving forward."
