Errigal Ciaran vs Dr Croke’s: Fixture details confirmed for All-Ireland Club SFC semi-final

Errigal Ciaran’s All-Ireland Club SFC semi-final clash with Dr Croke’s will take place at O’Moore Park, Portlaoise on Sunday, January 5 at 3.30pm.

The Tyrone champions claimed a tense one-point win over former champions Kilcoo in last weekend’s Ulster Club final in Armagh.

Peter Óg McCartan scored the winner for Enda McGinley’s men with Joe Oguz netting early in the game for the Dunmoyle men, who won a third provincial title with a 1-8 to 0-10 victory.

They’ll return to the Laois venue for an All-Ireland semi-final some 22 years on from their defeat to Cork’s Nemo Rangers.

McGinley played on that Errigal team in the 2002/02 campaign and his side face Munster opposition in the final four once again.

Dr Croke’s of Kerry were comfortable winners of Tipperary’s Loughmore-Castleiney in Sunday’s Munster final in Mallow.

The second semi-final between Leinster champions Cuala (Dublin) will face Connacht winners Coolera Strandhill (Sligo) will take place on the same afternoon at 1.30pm in Kingspan Breffni Park. Both games will be shown live on TG4.

The All-Ireland Club SFC final will be held at Croke Park on the weekend of January 18/19 with the Allianz Football League resuming the following weekend.

The winners of Saturday's Ulster Club IFC final replay between Ballinderry and Arva will be in All-Ireland semi-final action against Austin Stacks in Tullamore on Saturday, Janaury 4.
