Just eight days after regaining the O’Neill Cup with a hard-fought win over Trillick, Errigal Ciaran return to O’Neills Healy Park to begin their Ulster Club Championship campaign against St Eunan’s.

Both these teams suffered first round defeats to Glen in their last appearance in the provincial series.

Letterkenny were Donegal champions back in 2021 and narrowly lost out to the Watty Graham’s 1-4 to 0-8.

Errigal lost out to the Maghera side one year later, but last year’s All-Ireland club champions are gone after losing to Newbridge in last weekend’s Derry SFC final and every team in the Ulster Club series will harbour aspirations of landing the provincial title.

The last time Errigal Ciaran won Ulster, their manager Enda McGinley was playing for the Dunmoyle men in 2002 while St Eunan’s have yet to reach the Ulster final despite sitting top of the Donegal roll of honour with 16 county titles.

The winners of tonight’s game will take on Antrim champions Cargin in the quarter-finals next weekend.
