Fantasy football injury report Week 12: Latest on Mike Evans, George Kittle, and others

We're nearly at the two-thirds mark of the NFL season. That means teams are beginning their playoff pushes as fantasy football teams are down to the final weeks of the regular season.

Health is at a premium this week, especially with six teams on a bye: the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New Orleans Saints. Those include some top scorers at their position including Bijan Robinson, James Cook, Ja'Marr Chase, Joe Burrow, and Alvin Kamara.

Availability will be key this week. Here's the latest on relevant fantasy football injuries this week:

Fantasy football injury report: Week 12

TE David Njoku, Cleveland Browns: Questionable (knee)

Njoku was limited in practice on Monday and Tuesday but is still expected to play Thursday against the Steelers.

TE Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys: Questionable (concussion)

Ferguson suffered a concussion in the Cowboys' loss on Monday Night Football to the Houston Texans. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said Tuesday Ferguson "will be hard pressed" to play Sunday against the Commanders. Dallas' Luke Schoonmaker played well in Week 11 (six catches, 56 yards) and could be a serviceable replacement if you're in need of a tight end.

QB Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers: Questionable (shoulder)

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Purdy is "day to day" with soreness in his right shoulder. Further updates later this week will determine his availability for Sunday's game against Green Bay. For now, his outlook is good.

TE George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers: Questionable (hamstring)

Kittle is expected to practice Wednesday after missing Week 11's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Shanahan said Kittle was close to playing in that game, making his status for Week 12 very promising.

RB Jonathon Brooks, Carolina Panthers: Questionable (knee)

Panthers coach Dave Canales says he "fully expects" Brooks to make his NFL debut Sunday against Kansas City. This will likely impact Chuba Hubbard's workload as the rookie works into the fold.

WR Adam Thielen, Carolina Panthers: Questionable (hamstring)

Canales also expects Thielen to be back in the lineup against Kansas City. Thielen said Monday that he's encouraged but still needs to gain some ground to feel good about playing.

RB D'Andre Swift, Chicago Bears: Questionable (groin)

Swift did not practice Wednesday after putting up one of his best performances of the year in Week 11. If he's unable to go, Roschon Johnson should get the start and they'll likely split carries if Swift is active.

WR Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Questionable (hamstring)

After missing the last four weeks with a hamstring injury, Evans was back at practice Wednesday and looks set to make his return Sunday against the Giants.

TE Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: Questionable (shoulder)

LaPorta missed Sunday's win over Jacksonville with this shoulder injury. Detroit has yet to release a practice report this week, but Lions coach Dan Campbell said he is trending towards playing in Week 12.

WR Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans: Questionable (illness)

Ridley missed practice Wednesday, but Titans coach Brian Callahan expects him to be back in action on Thursday.

K Austin Seibert, Washington Commanders: Questionable (hip)

Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Wednesday that Seibert will be limited in practice for the next two days. They will then asses his progress ahead of Week 12's game against Dallas.

WR Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings: Questionable (leg)

Addison left Sunday's win over Tennessee with cramps in the second half, but Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell expects him to be back in the lineup in Week 12.
