You’re waking up on Tuesday reading all that you can about the players that you should be picking up off the waiver wire as you prepare for Week 3 of fantasy football in 2024.

But it’s likely there aren’t as many things written about who you should be dropping to grab those players. That’s what this weekly column — keep ’em or dump ’em! — will hopefully answer for you: Some help in the debate over who you should keep or drop in order to improve your team.

Lots of injuries around the league and there's plenty of talent on the wavier wire. Let's dive in:

1. WR Allen Lazard, New York Jets

The Jets' offense is messy and Mike Williams played a lot more in Week 2. Despite him being a good pickup after Week 1, you can let him go.

VERDICT: Drop him

2. TE Colby Parkinson, Los Angeles Rams

You're going to want to hold on to him as Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua miss time. Tyler Higbee might be back at some point, but for now, at a thinner tight end position, hang on.

VERDICT: Keep him

3. RB Alexander Mattison, Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders may play from behind more than they did in Week 2, and they'll run all over the hapless Panthers in Week 3. And he scored a touchdown too!

VERDICT: Keep him

4. WR Adonai Mitchell, Indianapolis Colts

He may have an impactful role someday, but with Josh Downs coming back soon and Anthony Richardson concentrating on Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce, he's dropable.

VERDICT: Drop him

5. WR Joshua Palmer, Los Angeles Chargers

So much for that sleeper hype. The Chargers run a lot and Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston are ahead of him.

VERDICT: Drop him

6. RB Zamir White, Las Vegas Raiders

Just hang on. He's still going to have a role, maybe not what you expected, but it won't be this bad.

VERDICT: Keep him

7. WR Christian Kirk, Jacksonville Jaguars

Yikes. Just two catches on seven targets in the first two weeks. Despite a more crowded receiver room and those struggles, you have to hold on to him to see if this is just a slow start. This is a tough call, but ...

VERDICT: Keep him

8. QB Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

As I mentioned, the Chargers run a lot. Herbert has just 274 yards total so far.

VERDICT: Drop him
