FIFA eWorld Cup 2019: Everything you need to know including F2Tekkz, location and prize money

The 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final, one of the biggest and best FIFA Esports tournament in the world, is happening this weekend.

32 of the very best FIFA Esports players will compete against each other, 16 on Xbox and 16 on Playstation, with the ultimate goal of finding the FIFA eWorld Cup champion, or the best FIFA 19 player in the world. Last year's champion Msdossary will be hoping he can retain the title but the favourite for many is F2Tekkz, the 17-year-old Liverpool fan who has dominated the FIFA Esports game, at least on the Xbox side, for over a year.

The event is being held right here in the UK, at The 02 in London, from 2nd August till the 4th August. With the schedule for the tournament already confirmed and the groups already decided.

There has also been confirmation that there will be a significant increase in prize money.

Group A features English competitors Tekkz, Tass and Stokes, all of whom will be hoping to impress this year.

Group B features reigning champion Msdossary, Australian Marcus Gomes and the only Spaniard in the competition this year, Zidane10.

Group C features Ajax's Tore, Werder Bremen's MoAuba and Australian Marko from Team FUTWIZ.

Group D features Wolves' Fifilza, free agent Pinna97 and Didychrislito from New York City FC.

The format looks like this.

Four competitors will emerge from each group, who will then advance into the round of 16.

There will then be a quarter-final, a semi-final and then the big one, the cross-console Grand Final.

Each game will feature two legs, a home and away leg, although there is no away goals rule.

In the cross-console Grand Final, one leg will be played on Xbox, with the other on Playstation.

FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Final - Prize Money

Total 2019 prize money: USD 500,000

The total prize pot for the tournament stands at $500,000, a $100,000 increase on last year.

The champion will take home a cash prize of $250,000, with the remaining to be dished out depending on the finishing positions.

The 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup will be broadcast live in six different languages for the very first time, English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic.

Last year, the tournament attracted more than 29 million views across all platforms, with the expectation that this year could be even bigger.
