Former Aberdeen captain Scott Brown backs Dons to push Celtic in title race
Scott Brown is confident Aberdeen can push Celtic all the way in the title race after the former Dons captain was impressed by the thrilling 2-2 draw at Parkhead.
The Ayr United boss joined the Reds after a trophy-laden spell with the Hoops, but left after less than a year following the departure of then manager Stephen Glass.
Since playing his final Pittodrie fixture, Brown has gone on to enjoy the start of his management career, and is currently impressing with Ayr at the top end of the Championship table.

Meanwhile Aberdeen have endured turbulent times under the likes of Jim Goodwin, Barry Robson and Neil Warnock, but have turned things around in outstanding fashion under Jimmy Thelin who has led the squad to a 14-match unbeaten run and up to second in the table, only behind Celtic on goal difference.
Speaking to BBC Scotland, Brown admitted he still expects Celtic to win the league, but he is adamant Aberdeen could put up a fight and make life difficult for the title holders.

He said: "Aberdeen have been doing really well. Celtic had a lot of possession on Saturday and a lot of shots but fair play to Aberdeen in coming back after going 2-0 down.
"Celtic Park when they are 2-0 up is a hard place to kind of go and play and have that desire to go and score two goals. But they did.

"Throughout the whole season do I expect Celtic to go and win the league? 100%. I think their squad and their quality in the final third is ruthless and too good for anyone in the league.
"Do I think Aberdeen will challenge them? Yes. I definitely do. They have a good new manager and a great fan base up in Aberdeen."
