Former Chelsea star Fikayo Tomori is being linked with a return to the Premier League three years after leaving Stamford Bridge.

Tomori left the Blues in the summer of 2021 to join AC Milan on a permanent deal, having spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan with the Serie A giants.

The 26-year-old has since gone on to become one of the star centre-backs in Italy and helped Milan win the Serie A title in the 2021/22 campaign.

Now, though, reports are emerging that Tomori could return to the Premier League as soon as the January transfer window.

According to The Sunday Mirror, several unnamed clubs in the top flight are showing an interest in signing Tomori in the New Year. The report claims that Tomori would be open to returning to the Premier League if the right club made a suitable offer.

Reports have claimed that Newcastle and West Ham tried to sign Tomori last summer, but the defender instead remained at the San Siro, where he has since made 12 appearances in all competitions this season.

It was last year that Tomori outlined his ambitions for his future, where he admitted that more silverware was his target. The centre-back also dreams of winning the World Cup with England, but has only earned two caps over the last two years.

“I think my dream in life might sound a bit cliche, but I don't want to have any regrets," Tomori told One Football.

"I want to be able to say at the end of it, I did everything I could, allowed myself to be myself. I allowed myself to do I wanted to do in the right way. And I think, you know, at the end of that, if I win a million trophies or if I just have the Scudetto [Serie A title], in myself, I can say I did everything I needed to do, I'm content in what I've done.

“Then, of course, in the same breath, a dream is to win the Champions League. “A dream is to win the World Cup, win Scudetto again, win every trophy possible that I can with Milan as I'm here.”
