What game is Tom Brady broadcasting in Week 8? Where to listen to Fox NFL analyst today
Tom Brady is scheduled to call his eighth NFL game this Sunday with Fox's top broadcast team.
Brady called the Super Bowl rematch in Week 7, but he also received some big news beforehand. On Wednesday, Oct. 16, NFL owners officially approved Tom Brady's bid to buy a 10 percent stake in the Las Vegas Raiders with a business partner. The approval was the final part of a process that began in May 2023, and it comes with some notable restrictions that could affect Brady's new career as a broadcaster.
Now that Brady owns 5 percent of the Raiders, he's officially a minority owner of an NFL franchise. That comes with restrictions as a broadcaster. According to ESPN's Seth Wickersham, here is a list of those restrictions:
Brady will not be permitted in another team's facility
He cannot witness team practices
He cannot attend broadcast production meetings, either in person or virtually
He cannot publicly criticize game officials
He cannot publicly criticize other teams
Brady will be subject to the NFL's gambling policy
He will also be subject to the NFL's anti-tampering policy
Brady's abilities as a broadcaster have been heavily scrutinized. Although his debut drew mixed reactions, he continues to improve with every opportunity in the booth. However, these restrictions bring new challenges into the booth for TB12.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion is still getting familiar with holding the microphone on Sundays. His first season as a broadcaster will culminate in February when he calls Super Bowl 59.
