Geordie artist and author Davey Brown has penned a new book entitled 'Newcastle United: It's In The Blood'.

The book will be launched at an exhibition at the Strawberry pub that will include an auction for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation in December. Davey told Chronicle Live: "With it being so close to St James' Park, the iconic pub is the perfect venue for this event and owner Michael Hill and his staff have been a great help in putting the show together.

"The event runs from 6pm to 11pm on December 21. It's free entry and children are welcome.

"The book is a fascinating collection of NUFC facts, stories, memorable matches and the glory days of the 1950s when we won the FA Cup three times in five years. Subjects include Alan Shearer, Bobby Robson, St. James' Park, away days, and a wonderful chapter about our most famous number 9s. It also includes twenty poems which I have written.

"The book costs £13.99 plus postage and you can order your copy by emailing daveybrownart@hotmail.co.uk"
