Greenock curling club secures spot in 'prestigious' finals

A CURLING club in Greenock has secured a spot in the prestigious Henderson Bishop finals.

Newark Curling Club will represent Greenock Waterfront in the match, which will be held in Dumfries.

The club's president, Carol McNair, expressed her delight at the team’s victory against strong competitors from Greenock and Gourock.

The team is comprised of Karen Jack (skip), Christine Kennedy, Liz Rankin, Angela Watt, and Linda McDowell.

The finals are scheduled for February 2025.

The Henderson Bishop competition is well-regarded, with winners from ice rinks from across the country competing in the national finals.
