Halsey Marries Red Carpet Glamour With Punk Inspiration in Vivienne Westwood Minidress for ‘Monkey Man’ Screening Red Carpet

Halsey was among the stars who attended a special screening of Dev Patel’s new film “Monkey Man” on Tuesday night in Los Angeles. The singer posed for a series of photos on the red carpet, fashioning an ensemble that highlighted her tattoos.

For the occasion, Halsey wore an off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood satin minidress, featuring a structured bodice and ruching details on the neckline and skirt. For their accessories, Halsey wore a Sterling Silver Studded Wrap Ring by Zynnia Collective and a Match Open Ring by Ivy Jewelry, among other pieces like drop earrings, a delicate necklace and a glittering bracelet.

Halsey’s jet-black pixie cut featured baby bangs and was coiffed in a sleek style. The singer’s look was styled by Lyn Alyson, with whom Halsey has collaborated in the past. Alyson has also worked with Noah Cyrus, Avril Lavigne and Maggie Lindemann.

Andreas Kronthaler, creative director and design partner of the late Vivienne Westwood, recently showcased the fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection. Kronthaler looked to the late Renaissance period, noting the use of black, which was on display in the eveningwear segment of the Paris Fashion Week runway show.

Among other highlights from the fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection, Sam Smith walked the runway. The “Unholy” singer fashioned two looks from the collection while taking the catwalk. Prior to Westwood’s death, Kronthaler showcased designs under the Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood banner.

“Essentially, the collection challenged the notion of elegance in today’s culture. One can argue the bottomless check look Sam Smith sported was pure chaos, but to the fans of Vivienne Westwood, elegance came from within, and Smith has plenty of it,” WWD said of the fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection.

Westwood’s designs were heavily influenced by the British punk movement of the ’70s, and she translated the style to the runway and high-fashion world. Her idiosyncratic designs and style also put the spotlight on her environmentalism work. Westwood died in 2022.
