Haverfordwest Tennis Club's veterans tournament delight

Haverfordwest Tennis Club hosted its ninth annual veterans tournament.

The event attracted its highest-ever participation with 42 entries.

Held between September 9 and 14, the tournament had competitors over 45 years of age, contesting in men's and women's singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events.

Notable winners were David Roch James who claimed the men's singles title and Liz Green who won the women's finale.

Marc Thompson and Gwyn Scale emerged victorious in men's doubles, while the women's doubles was clinched by Liz Green and Angela Scourfield.

The mixed doubles title went to Jane Allen and John Parker.

Following the event, the club held the traditional finals day dinner, with trophies handed out by club president Brian Hearne.

Tournament organiser Richard Davies was acknowledged for his efforts, along with Sarah Keogh and her volunteer team.k
