Hearts have they will travel south for a pre-season friendly against Fleetwood Town.

The Jambos will make the trip to the Highbury Stadium on Saturday July 27 - the week before the Premiership campaign begins. And Steven Naismith will come up against a familiar face in the dugout in ex-Rangers and Scotland teammate Charlie Adam, who succeeded sacked Lee Johnson at the Cod Army in December.

However, the former Scotland international was unable to save the Fisherman from relegation as they finished third bottom of League One, consigning them to fourth-tier football next season. It's the second year in a row that Hearts will take on Fleetwood, having ran out 2-0 winners in a closed-doors friendly last summer courtesy of a Jorge Grant brace.

It's also the second pre-season friendly lined up ahead of the 2024/25 after it was previously confirmed that the European-bound Jambos would host Leyton Orient at Tynecastle as part of the club’s 150th year celebrations.

That game has been arranged for Saturday July 13 and the club are expected to announce further information surrounding the celebrations in due course.
