Hem Heath have made a twin foray into the transfer market ahead of the 2025 North Staffs and South Cheshire League season.

The Trentham Lakes outfit successfully defended their Premier A title in the summer after a stunning run of form in the second half of the campaign.

And they have now made moves to put themselves in a position to challenge for a hat-trick of crowns by recruiting Alec Price and Harvey Ault.

The pair add more depth to the club’s overall playing resources as they look to maintain their recent success.

Price, a top-order batsman and off-spinner, joins from Moddershall & Oulton, while Ault makes the move from Audley.

Price’s switch to the defending champions ends his association with the Modd men.

The 19-year-old progressed through their junior section and established himself as a first-team regular.

He has also been honoured on the international stage, featuring in the Under-19 World Cup for Scotland earlier this year.

Price scored 482 runs for Moddershall & Oulton in 2024 and also claimed 10 wickets.

He has also been a part of Staffordshire’s development XI set-up.

Ault heads to Hem Heath following two seasons with top-flight rivals Audley.

The right-arm paceman, a former Staffordshire junior player, has previously played for Porthill Park and Endon.

LONGTON have continued to be active on the transfer front after announcing the signing of Alex McChristie.

All-rounder McChristie steps up to Premier A after leaving Silverdale.

McChristie, who counts Walsall and Fordhouses among his former clubs, spent four seasons at Underwood Road.

However, he has now opted to start a fresh chapter in his playing career following Silverdale’s relegation from Premier B.

McChristie’s arrival at Ripon Road continues a busy off-season for Longton.

Lee Ridgway has been appointed as the club’s new first-team captain and have already welcomed Dane Tinsley, Chris Dyer and Ben Sharpe.

There have been departures, though, with Archie and Freddie Doorbar and Alex Coates moving to Audley, while Tom Steele has joined Porthill Park.

STONE SP have started their recruitment for the 2025 NSSCL season with the signing of all-rounder James Green.

Youngster Green steps up to Premier A from Kidsgrove.

Green had a handy 2024 season with Grove, taking 35 wickets and scoring more than 350 runs.

Stone SP, under the captaincy of Sam Graham, enjoyed an excellent summer.

They finished in third place in the table, and were in contention for the title heading into the final few weeks of the campaign.

BURSLEM have added another new face to their squad for next summer.

Craig Lancaster is the latest new arrival at Festival Heights after switching from Blythe.

Burslem have been overhauling their playing squad after the first team were relegated from Premier A in 2024 without winning a game.

They have already snapped up Staffordshire batsman Matt Morris, seamers Tom Caton and Dilesh Gunarathne and batsman Eklavya Gupta.

There have also been departures, with all-rounder Ash Shaw leaving the club to stay in the top flight with Meakins.

PORTHILL Park have confirmed the signings of Josh and Paul Allman.

The Allmans head to the Old County Ground from Betley.

Porthill Park posted on social media: “The club are excited to announce more additions to the playing group and welcome Josh and Paul Allman from Betley CC.

“The club are excited to see Josh continue his development with Porthill and look forward to the valuable experience Paul has to offer.”

Porthill Park have also revealed that all-rounder Blake Blumeris will return to the club for the 2025 campaign.

Blumeris proved to be a key figure in the club’s second team over the course of the summer.
