Henrik Larsson dubs Rangers 'them' as Celtic icon refuses to name rivals in title jibe
Henrik Larsson lapped up the love from Celtic fans at their Player of the Year awards last night - before getting one of the biggest cheers of the night with a Rangers dig.
The Hoops icon attended the glitzy bash at the Hydro to celebrate the season just a day after they beat their rivals at Parkhead to all but clinch the title. Larsson was among a host of famous faces who came out on stage to party including Odsonne Edouard, Georgios Samaras, Stan Petrov and Gordon Strachan.
And as he praised the punters for the turnout, the Swedish hero also aimed a dig at Gers as he refused to mention their name in his address.
Larsson said: "Stay yourself. You are absolutely amazing and brilliant. Keep on doing what you are doing. Support the team.
"They have a chance to win the league again and stop them (nodding) from winning it."
That was met with a thunderous applause and laughter from the packed-out 11,000 crowd inside the Hydro.
Celts took a giant step towards the league trophy with a 2-1 win over Rangers on Saturday afternoon thanks to a Matt O'Riley strike and a John Lundstram own goal before Cyriel Dessers clawed one back.
