Hibernian have held "clear-the-air talks" after their hierarchy met in Las Vegas to discuss ongoing issues at the club.

Despite their poor run of results, leaving them bottom of the Scottish Premiership with an Edinburgh derby in the coming weekend, head coach David Gray's future in the role was NOT on the agenda. Recent investment into Hibs from the Black Knight group by Billy Foley has been a source of controversy as the American told the BBC that Easter Road decision-makers "have not been listening to our input".

However, according to the Daily Mail, these talks "did not touch" on Gray's position as head coach but the meeting was prior to their late capitulation against Dundee United at Tannadice at the weekend. The club's head of recruitment Ian Gordon and chief executive Ben Kensell flew to the United States i nthe previous international break, and met with Foley, Ryan Caswell who represents Black Knight on the Hib's board and Tim Bezbatchenko, president of Black Knight Football Club.

Given that these talks were before the club hit a new low at the bottom of the top flight, it's hard to imagine that Gray's future isn't even more closely monitored now by the investors and board members.

The Daily Mail also reports that a more open communication channel has been established between the club and Bezbatchenko, with weekly dialogue expected between the parties.

Hibs host city rivals Hearts on Sunday, who got off to a flier under new head coach Neil Critchley as they dispatched St Mirren wit ha dominant 4-0 victory.
