While Americans are well-represented at the 2024 Paris Olympics, one sport where an American team won't be competing in is Handball. In fact, the last time an American team competed in the sport was in 1996 at the Atlanta games, and that was only because America was hosting the games.

This year France not only has the honor of playing host to the Olympic games, they're also the defending gold medalists in both the men's and women's Handball competitions, after coming in first at the 2020 Tokyo Games. Though the sport doesn't have a huge presence in the U.S., it's vastly more popular in many European countries like Norway, Germany, and Denmark, who all have teams competing in the men's and women's events this year.

With competition well under way, you can catch every remaining handball game of the men's and women's tournaments on Peacock, and select games on USA, CNBC and E! from now through August 11. Games will be held at South Paris Arena 6 and Pierre-Mauroy Stadum in Lille, and we've got the full schedule and list of competitors so you can tune in to them all.

And in case you'd like a quick primer on the sport, here's everything you need to know about handball before the Games begin.
