Huddersfield Giants appoint new director of rugby in restructuring move
Huddersfield Giants have made long-serving employee Andy Kelly the club's new director of rugby. Kelly, who has taken on a number of roles during his time at the club, will take over all rugby matters moving forward.
A former player and coach, he has most recently been rugby manager but also acted as interim head coach during his long association with the club. Moving forward, he will report to the board of directors and work closely with new head coach Luke Robinson on recruitment and beyond.
"I am honoured and excited to be asked to take on the role of Director of Rugby at a time of change for the Huddersfield Giants," Kelly said.

"I have a very good relationship with Luke Robinson and I am fully aligned with the values, vision, and ambition we have for the Huddersfield Giants. I would like to thank Ken Davy for offering me this opportunity and will work with everyone to bring success to the Giants."
Club chairman Davy added: "I am delighted that Andy has accepted the role of Director of Rugby, we are incredibly fortunate at the Giants to have someone of the calibre and experience of Andy to take on this important task, and we wish him every success in the role."
The Giants are looking for a better season after two disappointing seasons which have seen them miss out on the play-offs. Before that, they had finished third in Super League during the 2022 season and reached the Challenge Cup Final.
