Hull City will continue to sweat on the fitness of Liam Millar with the player still awaiting the results of a scan to discover the extent of an injury picked up against Burnley. Millar lasted just five minutes of his return to the Tigers line-up before hobbling out of the game with the Clarets.

Having been replaced by Millar, Abu Kamara came on for the Canadian international and is likely to feature again when City make the trip to Derby County on Saturday afternoon.

The club are still waiting for a prognosis on Millar's knee, with manager Tim Walter confirming on Thursday afternoon he was still in the dark about how long the player could be out for. "I don't know anything about that, to be honest," explained Walter, when asked about Millar's health. "We have to wait for the situation and at the moment I can't answer your question."

While Walter was not in a position to update Millar's injury diagnosis, he did tease a potential return for one forgotten City man in Dogukan Sinik. Despite playing in City's friendly win on his native Turkey almost two weeks ago, Sinik was not on the bench for recent Championship games against Sunderland or Burnley, but is due back soon for what would be a first appearance for the Tigers in over a year after his loan move away last season and injury this summer.

"We don't have to talk about Sinik all week. If it is the right moment, you will see," teased Walter.

The Tigers are back in Championship action on Saturday afternoon when making the trip to Pride Park to take on Derby . It's a game that pits the 12th-placed hosts against Walter's 15th-placed Tigers with just one win between the sides in a combined six Championship games.

Despite the recent winless record, City played well against Burnley on Wednesday evening and will look to repeat that performance to hopefully pick up three valuable points, with the line-up potentially not much different other than Miller's absence.
