Hull FC announce three player exits as recruitment options receive fresh boost
Jack Walker, Liam Tindall and Morgan Smith have all left Hull FC with immediate effect. Following the announcement of yesterday's takeover, the Black and Whites have come to terms with all three players regarding their releases from the club, making them all free agents.
Last month, Hull Live revealed that the trio had been told they were surplus to requirements and would not be training with the first-team. Now agreements have been reached with all three, freeing up salary cap space in the process.
All three were new signings ahead of the 2024 season, arriving from Hull KR, Leeds Rhinos and Featherstone Rovers respectively. However, they all were told they would not be part of plans for next year and now agreements have been reached for them to depart. 25-year-old Walker made 14 appearances, while Tindall, a winger, played just three times.

Smith made the most appearances of the three, 26 in total, but the arrival of Jordan Abdull and Aidan Sezer, plus the club's young halfbacks in Jack Charles and Callum Kemp, has seen him drop down the pecking order.
Their departures free up salary cap space which will provide the Black and Whites further flexibility to recruit heading into the season. That said, director of rugby Richie Myler admitted at Wednesday's fans forum that player availability at this time of year was proving difficult.
A statement read: "The club wishes all three players the very best of luck for their futures in the sport and beyond."
The news comes just a day after an announcement was made with regards to new investment into the club.
