Hull Kingston Rovers head coach Willie Peters and Jack Broadbent promoted rugby league overseas by speaking on the pitch at the Netherlands against Chile rugby union international.

Aiming to help bring in a new audience in a city - Amsterdam - that is closely connected to Hull, the pair had a pre-game interview then a Q&A at half-time. With a sell-out crowd watching a big win for Netherlands' rugby union team, the Rovers' representatives told the Dutch crowd to expect big numbers of travelling Hull KR fans to go there.

Rovers face York Knights in the pre-season Amsterdam Challenge on Saturday January 25 at the NRCA Stadium, which was also the venue for the Netherlands against Chile rugby union this Saturday afternoon. Hull KR's pre-season, starting with testing, is due to commence two months before that date on Monday 25 November.
