Hull KR up to fifth in IMG gradings with St Helens top and Wakefield promoted
Hull Kingston Rovers have recorded the fifth best score in the IMG gradings released this morning on 15.97, making them one of nine Grade A clubs. The scoring, with a maximum of 20, determines which clubs are in the 2025 Super League.
Hull KR had previously been sixth on 15.52 in the indicative gradings, already above the 15-point mark, placing them in Grade A category already, which is the highest possible grade and guarantees a place in Super League. With a high bar to already set, Rovers had hoped that their efforts with "one per centers" in improving the club would lead to a strong outcome and that has been achieved with the improved score - and positioning in the wider context of comparison with other clubs.
They are joined as a Grade A club by St Helens (17.02), Wigan Warriors (16.91), Leeds Rhinos (16.84), Warrington Wolves (16.27), Catalans Dragons (15.52), Leigh Leopards (15.13), Wakefield Trinity (15.09) and Castleford Tigers (15.02). That means, as expected, Wakefield Trinity go from being a Championship club to a Super League one.

In the indicative gradings, seven clubs received an A grade. The three clubs that are in that A Grade category for the first time are Leigh, Castleford and Wakefield - while Hull FC drop from a provisional category A, with a ranking of seventh, to being category B with a ranking of 10th.
Clubs below them in the Grade B category are, in order of score, Hull FC (14.51), Huddersfield Giants (14.48), Salford Red Devils (13.97). Those three will be in Super League in 2025. London, meanwhile, as expected, have their relegation from the top flight officially confirmed. The next scores in the Grade B category were Toulouse (13.58), London (12.65), York (12.42), Bradford (12.15), Barrow (11.22), Featherstone (10.75), Keighley (9.02), Halifax (8.79), Sheffield (8.77), Widnes (8.6) and Doncaster (7.52).
There are five different areas on which clubs are assessed: fandom, performance, finance, stadium and community. Hull KR's positive news with the score follows a season in which they have reached the Grand Final on the pitch - and made strides off it.
