Hull Kingston Rovers are set to begin pre-season on Monday 25 November this year with the majority of players starting on this date, including new signing Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. The prop decided to arrive early in the UK, on 6 November, giving him more than a fortnight to acclimatise and prepare ahead of pre-season.

Mikey Lewis will be one of the players who will arrive later - expected to be mid-December - with an extended break being granted to him due to his participation in the post-season international campaign for England against Samoa. Other players who have been away on international duty, New Zealand's Peta Hiku and Papua New Guinea's Rhyse Martin, are also expected to be given extended rest. Data needs to be examined before plans are finalised on each player.

Club staff are expected to be in a few days before the 25 November to prepare. Pre-season will begin with testing - which checks the physical well-being of players - before the main programme starts.
