Hull KR star Mikey Lewis' big off-pitch news means he faces new responsibilities next year
Hull Kingston Rovers star Mikey Lewis' positive news in 2024 was added to, as he and his partner announced they are expecting a baby in April 2025, meaning he is preparing for new responsibilities next year.
The Hull-born player posted the news on his Instagram page, pictured with his partner Leah, and the caption "mum and dad era". Hull KR team-mates, such as Jez Litten and Jack Broadbent, and England team-mates, such as George Williams and Harry Newman, were among those who were quick to congratulate.
Having been named Man of Steel on the way to playing in the Grand Final, it had already been a momentous 2024 for Hull KR half-back Lewis on the pitch - which has been added to off the field now. He was also recently part of the England team's 2-0 home success in the Test series against Samoa, impressing with his contribution as a hooker off the bench. He can now look forward to a big year on and off the pitch in 2025.
