Isle of Wight ladies' tennis team smash it by winning summer and winter leagues
RYDE Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club's ladies' first team won the summer and winter leagues.
Dominating both seasons, they won 15 out of their 16 matches played.
This impressive streak crowned them champions of the winter 2023-24 and summer 2024 divisions.
The team, comprising five core players, faced opponents from across the South Coast, playing on grass, astro and hard courts.

After two successful seasons in the Portsmouth and District Tennis League, joint captains Emma-Jane Dyer and Emma Wheeler, received the prestigious Captains of the Year award.
The accolade was awarded at a presentation ceremony in Portsmouth.
Emma-Jayne said: "To win this award with more than 150 individual captains across the Portsmouth and District leagues, is an incredible achievement for the club.
"It is the first time Ryde Lawn has ever won this award."

Emma added: "To receive this award after captaining the team for seven years, is testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team."
Emma-Jane and Emma have been captaining the team for seven years.
Overlapping, a new season had already begun, with the team optimistic about continuing their successful streak.
After their recent victories, the team is hopeful for more success in the coming season.
