Jacksonville's Karmelo Clayborne named MVP in Azalea Orthopedic All-Star game

Apr. 22—TYLER — Jacksonville's Karmelo Clayborne was named Most Valuable Player at the Azalea Orthopedic All-Star Game, which was played Saturday at Tyler Junior College's Wagstaff Gymnasium.

Clayborne, poured in 18 points to go along with four assists and four steals.

The East All-Stars defeated the West All-Stars, 74-59.

Clayborne was named the District 18-4A Most Valuable Player earlier this spring.

He was coached by Mark Alexander at Jacksonville.
