Jimmy Thelin says Aberdeen cannot let Celtic hammering 'define' the Dons
Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin says his side can't let their semi-final hammering "define them" after Celtic scored six in a Hampden rout.
Hampden was the venue for the weekend's first Premier Sports Cup semi-final as the Granite City side faced Brendan Rodgers' Celtic and both teams entered the contest with an unbeaten record domestically. After the first 45 minutes though, it seemed all but certain that the Dons' record would stand no longer.
Daizen Maeda scored a hat-trick, with the Hoops' other goal contributions coming from Cameron Carter-Vickers, Kyogo Furuhashi, and Nicolas Kuhn. Thelin's side had drawn with Celtic 2-2, after going two goals down at Celtic Park, but failed to compete in the national stadium as they fell to a devastating loss.

"This is football. Celtic were really strong today and maybe we didn't reach our level, we have a lot of learning points from this game," Thelin told Premier Sports.
"When it goes a bit wrong and they're so skilful, it can slip away like this.
"We have to look at the bigger picture, take learning points from this game, how the fans stick with us until the end and after the game and try to build this relationship, this togetherness.
"It's the first bump in the road for a while now, what's most important for us now is how we move on in the future and for the next game.
"We can't let this game define us.
"We have to move on, we always take it game by game."
