Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow's house was broken into while Cincinnati beat the Dallas Cowboys on "Monday Night Football."

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office confirmed the break-in to local media in Cincinnati. Police were called to Burrow's home in the Cincinnati suburb of Anderson Township for a report of a break-in around 8 p.m. local time on Monday.

Authorities didn't provide further details of the break-in. Neither Burrow nor the Bengals had addressed the news publicly as of early Tuesday afternoon. WLWT in Cincinnati obtained a recording of 911 calls related to the break-in.

“Someone is trying to break into the house right now," an unidentified caller said. "My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She is staying there. He’s at the football game.

"She’s wondering what she should do, if she should be hiding, or if she should go outside. She said someone was in the house.”

Another caller identified by WLWT as the daughter referred to in the initial 911 call also called 911.

“Someone broke into my house,” she said. “It’s like completely messed up.”

The break-in occurred amid a string of high-profile burglaries targeting professional athletes, some of which took also place as they were playing games. The break-ins have prompted warnings from the NFL and NBA to their players.

An NFL memo in November to teams and players warned that homes of professional athletes have become "increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups." The NBA issued a warning the following day to its players that the FBI had connected burglaries of athletes' residences to "reportedly well-organized, sophisticated rings that incorporate advanced techniques and technologies, including pre-surveillance, drones and signal-jamming devices."

The homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were reportedly both burglarized in October. Mahomes' house was reportedly broken into just after midnight on Oct. 6, a Sunday before the Chiefs played the New Orleans Saints at home on Monday night. It's unclear who, if anybody, was home at the time of the burglary.

Kelce's home was broken into during Kansas City's game against the Saints. The backdoor was damaged and $20,000 in cash was stolen, per a police report cited by the Kansas City Star.

In the NBA, the homes of Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis Jr. and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley were burglarized. Portis' home was broken into during Milwaukee's Nov. 2 home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Portis revealed that "several prized possessions" were stolen during the break-in.

Per the Minnesota Star Tribune, Conley's house was burglarized and robbed of jewelry while he attended a Sept. 15 Vikings home game.
