John McGlynn ranks Falkirk season as his best ever as Invincible year trumps all

John McGlynn has ranked this season with Falkirk as his best season in management after they went unbeaten in League One.

The Bairns boss was chuffed to win PFA Manager of the Year after being voted for by his fellow bosses for his stellar campaign with the players at the Falkirk Stadium. McGlynn has been in management for almost 20 years and has had title wins with the likes of Raith Rovers previously.

The former Celtic scout has also taken Hearts into European football over the course of his career in the dugout but he explained that this term with his Invincibles is the best he's ever had as a gaffer.

"Yeah, it's got to be tops," he said. "To go through Invincible, not many have done it. And the way we've done it, we're a very attacking team, we play with great flair, play with wingers, we're exciting the fans, big crowd at Falkirk Stadium, over 7000 home supporters there yesterday.

"So it's at the very top. As a manager I've won it twice with Raith Rovers and now with Falkirk, and the other ones were special of course they were. But to do it as Invincibles and in the manner in which we've done it, it beats everything else."
