John Terry was present at Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Sunday. The 43-year-old was in the stands to watch his boyhood club face the Gunners and move up to third in the Premier League.

After an even first-half, Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 60th minute, sliding the ball through the legs of Robert Sanchez. However, Chelsea responded fast with Pedro Neto netting the equaliser, smashing into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Both teams created chances to win the match but neither could find the decisive goal as the points were shared at Stamford Bridge. The draw edges the Blues up to third and above Nottingham Forest heading into the international break, four points behind second-place Manchester City and nine adrift of Liverpool at the top.

Although it wasn't the result Chelsea would've been hoping for, former captain Terry would have enjoyed being back at The Bridge. The legendary defender, who made 717 appearances for the Blues, was spotted in the West Stand as he watched his beloved side in action.

After the game, Terry posted on social media showing his appreciation for the club. Accompanied by three photos - the first of which was him facing the pitch - displaying him at Stamford Bridge, Terry posted a wordless message with the blue love heart emoji and tagging Chelsea.

Terry retired from professional football in October 2018 and was almost immediately appointed as Aston Villa's assistant manager. In July 2021, Terry left Villa after helping them win promotion from the Championship, keeping them in the Premier League and consolidating as a top-flight club.

Five months later, Terry returned to Chelsea and started in a coaching consultancy role. In April 2023, following Dean Smith's appointment at Leicester, Terry was confirmed as a first-team coach with the Foxes. He left the King Power Stadium eight weeks later after the club were relegated to the Championship.

In July 2023, Terry returned to Chelsea as an academy coach.
