Jose Cordoba emerges as 'strong' Rangers transfer target as eagle-eyed fans spot major scout clue

Rangers reportedly have a "strong" interest in Levski Sofia defender Jose Cordoba - as one eagle-eyed fan spotted a major transfer clue.

The centre-half, 22, has just 12 months remaining on his contract in Bulgaria and has re-emerged as a potential target following a previous link back in January. Connor Goldson has been linked with a move to Al-Ettifaq with Steven Gerrard while Ben Davies has struggled for game time until recently which would add up towards interest in Cordoba.

Philippe Clement is in the market for a central stopper and the Panama international would seemingly fit the bill in terms of age as well as sell-on potential.

And while there have been reports of interest in the player from El Marcador TV, one supporter took to social media to drop the biggest hint of all.

According to a screen shot of Cordoba's social footprint, the big defender recently followed Gers' head of scouting operations Fraser Murray before unfollowing.

It could potentially be a nudge towards the player's hopes for the summer. It appears he no longer follows the staffer.
