Jose Mourinho move throws up Eddie Howe question as Newcastle eye progression
News of former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho eyeing the Newcastle United job does not add more pressure to Eddie Howe, fans believe.
According to The Guardian, Mourinho is keeping a close eye on matters at St James' Park. The 'Special One' is currently manager at Fenerbahce but his time in Turkey threatens to boil over after only a few months.
Having joined them in the summer, signing a two year deal, the spotlight has been on Mourinho after falling five points behind fierce rivals Galatasaray and controversy with referees.

Howe's role is understood to not be under pressure by Newcastle, despite the Magpies sitting 11th in the Premier League. The speculation surrounding Mourinho doesn't spell danger for the Englishman either, though, with fans believing Howe's position does not alter.
In a poll on ChronicleLive, fans were asked three questions on Mourinho. The large proportion of supporters who voted (79%) claim links to Mourinho do not add more pressure to Howe, with a similar number claiming they are not surprised of Mourinho's link (83%).
Mourinho hasn't managed in England since he left Tottenham. The Portuguese has won the Premier League three times, one FA Cup, four EFL Cup titles and the Europa League during his time in England.
