Jude Bellingham names 'really disappointing' aspect of Real Madrid loss to Liverpool
Jude Bellingham aired his frustration after Real Madrid was comfortably beaten at Anfield in the Champions League.
Liverpool emerged as the 2-0 victor and was superior in every way as the team recorded a fifth league-phase win to preserve its 100 per cent record in the competition.
Bellingham, a one-time Liverpool target, was playing at Anfield for the first time in his career but leaves with unhappy memories after claiming that Liverpool's players seemed to be hungrier for victory than Carlo Ancelotti's men.
"From the first minute, they took control of the game," Bellingham told TNT Sports. "We never maximized the spells that we had in possession; we tried to force the counter-attack too many times and turned the ball over so much that they managed to keep control.

Kylian Mbappe silenced as Arne Slot makes huge Liverpool statement - 4 talking points vs Real Madrid
"Defensively, we couldn't really harm them. I think they were more up for it than us, which is really disappointing to say. It's a bad result against probably the best-performing team in Europe. It's no disgrace to come here and lose, but we are disappointed in how we performed, and the important thing is we use it the right way. We've got three games left and it's important that we try and win them all to give us the best possible chance in the standings."
Madrid had a golden opportunity to equalize in the second half after Andy Robertson was penalized for upending Lucas Vazquez in the box, handing the peripheral Kylian Mbappe a chance to make a telling impact on a game he was largely anonymous in.
However, Mbappe was thwarted by Caoimhin Kelleher, who saved a third penalty in four matches for club and country. Bellingham refused to blame the France captain, though, insisting the team would take collective responsibility for the loss.
"It's a big moment in the game, but it can happen," Mbappe added. "He's a wonderful player but the pressure he holds because of how good he is is humongous. The penalty isn't the reason why we lost the game. On the night, they performed better than us, and it's as simple as that. Kylian can keep his head high, I know he will produce many more moments that are huge for this club."
