Key Derby County man issues fitness update ahead of Stoke City clash
Ebou Adams insists he has come through Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Hull City unscathed after concerns the midfielder had picked up a knock.
The 28-year-old turned in another industrious performance at Pride Park as the Rams battled back from a goal down to take a point thanks to Dajaune Brown’s first goal for the club.
Adams has played all but nine minutes of Derby County's last ten games and established himself as a key player in a workmanlike side that is making a good first of their first season back in the Championship.

Indeed, it is difficult to imagine a Derby team without Adams in it with concern whenever the former Cardiff man hits the deck – as he did against the Tigers.
Adams was quick to allay concerns: “I am full on. I will give 110 per cent a little bit of a tweak but it is not my hamstring, it’s just feeling the load of playing three games,” he told RamsTV . “It’s a tough week, the gaffer is expecting me to give everything. As long as I give everything I feel happy. Please don’t feel worried it’s just me being a little bit silly, enjying my football but I am playing with a smile on my face.”
He was not feeling especially smiley about the fact Derby have been held to three draws in the last eight days, 1-1 scorelines being recorded at Millwall, Oxford and again at the weekend.
“I will be honest a little bit of frustration personally because we could maybe have got two points somewhere else. It shows how good we are as a team we are not happy with a draw, we want more. You look at the games back maybe we could have done something different to see out a game.
“In this game even a goal down I though we had enough chance to win the game. We are not just going to sit and be happy, we want more – that’s the frustrating part.
“In the end [vs Hull], there are mixed emotions for us. I'll look at the positives and say that coming back from one goal behind to collect a point is good for us.
“We had to be disciplined because Hull’s rotations are crazy. You've got centre-backs playing in midfield and midfielders playing up front. We passed people on, the communication between the boys was unbelievable. They are a good team, their rotations can cause teams problems but we dealt with it very well.”
Goalscorer Brown was taken off shortly after his point-sealing header, with manager Paul Warne saying: "I am not a physio but it's not like he pulled his hamstring and he'll be out for four to six weeks. I am hoping it will settle down quite quickly and we will manage it as we try and manage everyone."
