Kieran Tierney among 7 Arsenal players transfer listed as ex Celtic star set for summer exit

Scotland star Kieran Tierney looks set to leave Arsenal this summer

Kieran Tierney is reportedly one of seven Arsenal players who will be put up for sale this summer.

The Gunners are set to bankroll Mikel Arteta with another major transfer kitty and funds could be significantly boosted by the sales of several fringe players. The Daily Mirror reports that bids will be considered for Tierney, Aaron Ramsdale, Nuno Tavares, Alberti Sambi Lokogna, Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah and Emmie Smith Rowe.

Former Celtic hero Tierney is due to return to the Emirates later this month as he approaches the end of his season-long loan with La Liga high-flyers Real Sociedad, who are on the verge of securing European qualification. He's racked up 23 appearances for the Spanish side although his season has been hampered by a series of hamstring injuries.

The Scotland star looks set to be involved in tomorrow night's clash with Barcelona as he returns from an adductor issue, which will be a major boost for Steve Clarke ahead of next month's Euros.

However, KT's long-term future is up in the air as Arteta prepares to clear out some of his squad this summer. In an interview with the Athletic earlier this week, the 27-year-old admitted he may well have played his final game for Arsenal. The £25million left-back said: "There is every chance. Look at the squad depth in that position now.

"They have [Oleksandr] Zinchenko, [Jurrien] Timber, [Takehiro] Tomiyasu, [Jakub] Kiwior. Four players can play there. So if I go back and it’s the same as before then I’m not silly, I know the chances are I’ll be leaving.

"But you never know in football. You get the rare case with [William] Saliba, where he came back after a couple of good seasons (out on loan) but you don’t see it too often with someone who has played for four years, left, and then come back to play again. Stranger things have happened. I could go back and there is a place for me. So I’m prepared for both."
