Kieron Bowie Hibs return latest as David Gray reveals striker back training on grass
David Gray hopes it won't be long before Kieron Bowie makes his top-team return for Hibs.
But the Easter Road boss has vowed not to throw the striker back into the fold too quickly. Bowie was ruled out for four months in September after suffering another hamstring injury while on duty for Scotland Under-21s. The summer signing from Fulham has been working hard through his rehab and Gray revealed the 22-year-old has been in high spirits.
He said: "He's around the boys all the time. I enjoy winding Kieron up just in general because he's got two young kids and now he's got a dog - just to make things harder for himself! I don't know why he did that, but it kind of sums him up. He's a brilliant character around the group. He really fits in well with the boys.

"I've not heard anyone say a bad word about him and I've never had any issues with him. Kieron's been a really good addition to the group, so I'll keep pushing him on that front."
Bowie made a promising start at Easter Road before his injury curse struck again and while Gray could do with his firepower up front, the Easter Road boss vowed no to rush his comeback.
He added: "Kieron was back on the grass last week. It's more of a change of scenery for him getting out on the grass and having a jog, rather than being stuck in the gym doing his work.
"Kieron's desperate to get back. He does every single rep, he does everything you'd expect from him, and he does it properly. He's just a really honest, hard-working boy. To go and get the injury again is very tough mentally. But he's responded really positively, and he's probably going to need to be pulled back a little because that's the type of guy he is.
"You need to make sure you're not pushing Kieron too quickly as he's so keen to get back in. The timescale will still be what we thought for him, maybe Christmas."
