DORCHESTER Town were left 'frustrated' after being denied an 'unbelievable' chance to win against Bracknell on Saturday.

Kyran Samadi was clean through on goal in the final few minutes against the Robins before being brought down by Anthony Cheshire, who was sent off, with the scores level at 1-1.

Bracknell had taken an early first half lead, but Wes Fogden's second half equaliser put the Magpies on level terms.

With the Robins already down to ten men, after George Knight was dismissed for a second yellow card, Magpies boss Tom Killick was left wondering what could have been.

He said: "In the last five minutes Kyran was brought down, and although they had another man sent off, he would have had a great chance to score, and at that stage of the game it was hard to take advantage of the extra numbers.

"It was frustrating as there were not huge repercussions for them.

"It was a good tactical foul but it denied us an unbelievable chance in the game but it is what it is.

He added: "They are a good side and it was a very competitive game against a good level of opposition.

Despite not being able to take advantage of the first sending off, Killick admitted the result was probably the right one.

He added: "I thought bearing in mind they have lost just one game and have established themselves as a side who are hard to beat, the game was even at 11 v 11, so that was positive for us as the away side.

"There were not too many chances for either side and they scored a good goal from a half chance and then they had something to hold on to and set in with a low block.

"The second half it was more us and after the first sending off it was ours to win, but overall a draw was probably the right result."

With Wayne Robinson injured with a knee injury for the tie and Shaquille Gwengwe still serving a ban, it left the Magpies light in the forward positions for the trip to Berkshire.

However, Killick was impressed with Luke Roberts who made his first league start of the season against the Robins.

On Roberts, Killick said: "Luke Roberts did well, it was his first start and he has been more than patient.

"He did not get a lot of service but I saw enough of him to see that he is back to the levels he was at before his injury."

Next up for the Magpies is a trip to Gosport on wednesday night as they look to get back to winning ways after two defeats and two draws in their last five games in all competitions.
