Kilmarnock will welcome Rangers to Rugby Park this weekend as they look to keep their momentum going.

They are looking to record their first home win of the Scottish Premiership campaign after recording two draws and a win in Ayrshire so far this season - whilst Philippe Clement's side will look to extend their run of consecutive wins in the league in their efforts to close the gap at the top of the league. Rangers suffered a slow start to the season with just two wins from their opening four games, slipping to a draw at Hearts on the opening day of the season before falling to a 3-0 loss to Celtic at the end of August to sit five points behind the Hoops in the title race.

They've since remedied that with three wins in the division to find some form, but a trip to Kilmarnock is always tricky and they will do well to escape with three points. Kilmarnock, by contrast, haven't had the best start to the campaign with just one win from their opening seven fixtures, conceding the second-most goals in the division with 17 - and Derek McInnes will hope to beat his former side to drag them into the top half.

They beat Rangers on the opening day of last season, kickstarting Michael Beale's path to the sack - and Clement will hope to avoid another early season loss at Rugby Park as he looks to keep up with Celtic. Football Scotland tells you everything you need to know about the crunch clash.

Team News

Kyle Magennis is still expected to be out with a long-term injury for Kilmarnock, having only featured in three minutes' worth of action for the Ayrshire side in the past calendar year.

For Rangers, the same rings true with Oscar Cortes, Rabbi Matondo and Ridvan Yilmaz all out injured for the trip south - however, Danilo is back in the frame and could make an appearance for just the third time this season.

Ianis Hagi returned to action for the first time in over a year for the Gers last time out against St Johnstone - but he will be unavailable after being brandished with a late red card in the 2-0 win over the Perth-based side.

Last season: Kilmarnock 1-0 Rangers, Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock, Kilmarnock 1-2 Rangers, Rangers 4-1 Kilmarnock.
