The agent of Radu Dragusin has admitted the Tottenham Hotspur defender could seek a transfer exit this summer if his playing time does not increase.

Dragusin was signed by Spurs during the January transfer window but has struggled for regular opportunities since leaving Genoa for a chance to play in the Premier League.

The Romanian centre-back has started only two league matches, appearing as a substitute in four other games, and has been left on the bench in each of the Lilywhites' last five outings.

Stuck behind Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in the pecking order, first-team chances seem unlikely to grow unless injuries pave the way for a place in the starting eleven.

Raising concerns over the situation of his client, football agent Florin Manea told Radio CRC via CalcioNapoli24: “If he doesn’t play we'll have to think of other solutions but, at the moment, I don’t think so because he only arrived in January. Then you never know in life, let's hope not, but you never know. If he [Postecoglou] told him that [he would remain third choice], I don’t think Dragusin would stay and not play.

"He must have patience, he has two important players in front of him, in the end he will find space," continued Dragusin's representative. "The coach has said many times that he doesn’t want to play three (at the back), he knows better, but he concedes a lot of goals for Tottenham.

"Playing with three gives you more security that you won’t concede too many goals. Tottenham concede a lot of goals from set pieces, I think Dragusin will find space in the future because Tottenham need his power."

Napoli were another club linked with Dragusin prior to his Tottenham transfer, which would have seen the 22-year-old remain in Serie A. It has been suggested former Spurs boss Antonio Conte could become the new manager of the 2022/23 Italian top-flight champions, representing a coup for the club.

Asked if such an appointment could influence a return to Italy for Spurs' January recruit, Dragusin's agent added: "Conte is one of the best in the world. It would be an honour to work with him, but right now it's difficult to say what will happen. If a loan offer arrived from Napoli, with Conte there, it would have to be evaluated. When you work with someone like Antonio Conte, you learn on many levels."
