Latest Arsenal injury news with Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka updates amid Martin Odegaard boost
Arsenal stars Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are likely to withdraw from the England squad after they were both taken off injured during a 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday.
Rice was a doubt for the clash with the Blues anyway, but played through the pain of a broken toe before being taken off after 71 minutes. Saka meanwhile lasted 81 minutes before leaving the field after being treated with a leg injury.
The pair were included in Lee Carsley's England squad for crucial Nations League games against Greece and the Republic of Ireland next week, but it's looking likely they will stay with the Gunners and look to recover ahead of the return to league action, which comes against Nottingham Forest on November 23.
Arsenal's failure to beat Chelsea saw them drop further behind in the race for the title, with leaders Liverpool now nine points ahead of Mikel Arteta's side.
Speaking on the injuries to two of his key players, he said: "It doesn’t look good, because for two players of that importance to tell you they cannot continue in the game, it’s not good news. I don’t know whether to expect them to be fit [for England] because if not they don’t come off.
"What I'm praying for is that after the international break we have the team fully physically equipped, that they are available and that they are fit, because it's been a nightmare for eight weeks."

The Gunners take on high-flying Forest next and will be hoping to close the gap and get back to winning ways. They have won just one of their last five in all competitions - a Carabao Cup victory over Championship side Preston North End.
There is some good news though - club captain Martin Odegaard started his first game in over two months on Sunday and played a full 90 minutes. Arteta remained coy on whether the Norwegian would join up with his national team with many fans hoping he will stay put to avoid the risk of picking up another knock.
