Latest Chelsea injury news with Cole Palmer and Wesley Fofana update as fresh blow confirmed
Enzo Maresca has been handed three fresh Chelsea injury concerns, despite the fact no games have been played during November's international break. The Blues have been rather fortunate regarding absences this season with the return of captain Reece James leaving their treatment room all-but empty of senior stars.
Summer signing Omari Kellyman has been recovering from a hamstring injury, although his return is expected soon. With that being said, Maresca looked set to have no players missing with fitness problems but that has very quickly changed - starting with England star Cole Palmer.
In the latter stages of the 1-1 draw against Manchester United, Palmer suffered a knee injury and only just made the following weekend's clash at Arsenal. Unsurprisingly, he pulled out of England duty, with the Three Lions releasing a statement that he and Levi Colwill would miss their Nations League games against Greece and Ireland.

Colwill has regularly featured under Maresca so far and has built up an impressive partnership with Wesley Fofana, however he will also now return to Cobham early. On Tuesday, a France statement, relayed by the Blues, confirmed that he and Malo Gusto would miss out with the latter out of the Under-21s squad.
With four issues present for Maresca, and three of those new, Romeo Lavia has also revealed he suffered a minor knock against Arsenal. "I received a little blow," Lavia said to RTL Info. "At the moment, we are testing to see if it is okay, but it should be fine, I think."
Lavia is still part of Domenico Tedesco's squad for Nations League fixtures against Italy and Israel right now. Jadon Sancho has also not featured since late-October, for a number of reasons, although Maresca reckons he can return after the two-week domestic pause.
"He is recovering from [illness]," he said in a press conference before the Premier League game against Arsenal. "He had a knock in the session. He is out [for the Arsenal game] and we will see if he is available [this weekend] or after the international break."
Although the number of possible injury problems has increased significantly, Maresca will be hoping all six of those names are passed fit for Chelsea's return to Premier League action away at former club Leicester.
