Latest Man United injury news before Man City as wait goes on over mystery absence
Manchester United head to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday for the first time in a long while without fear of being the team in the worse form.
Manchester City enter the derby with just one win in their last ten matches. Their performance on Wednesday night did little to boost confidence either as Juventus cruised to a 2-0 win in the Champions League which leaves the Blues on the brink of a knockout play-off or worse.
As for United, their form under new boss Ruben Amorim has by no means been plane sailing either. Last weekend, a 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford was followed by Dan Ashworth's unexpected departure, a devastating double blow to their positive camp since the Portuguese arrived.

Thursday night's 2-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen did plenty to lift spirits and Rasmus Hojlund continued his hot goalscoring form with an important brace. Fortunately, the gruelling European clash does not appear to have had any lasting effects on the players with no new injuries picked up.
Victor Lindelof and Toby Collyer both made welcome returns to the bench in Czechia after their respective injury issues. However, the wait for Luke Shaw's return continues.
The Englishman announced recently that he had suffered another muscular injury, this time to his hamstring. A return date for Shaw has not been publicised.
Jonny Evans also remained sidelined for United in midweek with a mystery injury having stopped him from participating since Amorim's first game in charge at Ipswich Town. The centre-back was seen participating at Carrington on Wednesday but this appearance was not another to return him to the squad that flew out to Plzen.
It remains to be seen if he will be fit and available for selection on Sunday.
