Lawrence Shankland dubbed 'outstanding' against Rangers as Hearts goal drought continues
Cammy Devlin insists Hearts players must step up to the plate and help ease the goalscoring burden on Lawrence Shankland.
Shankland has scored just one goal in 18 games this season, a far cry from his stunning 33-goal campaign that saw him hoover up the Player of the Year gongs. It's the worst goal drought of the 29-year-old's prolific career but midfielder Devlin insists others must do more to help him after another blank in Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Ibrox.
He said: "We know Shanks' qualities and I thought against Rangers he was outstanding. The work that he does for us as a team goes unnoticed so much, and his link-up play too.

"It's about other players stepping up and taking the pressure off him in terms of goalscoring. He's not always going to be finding the back of the net and I'm sure when he does it will start flowing for him.
"He's just one player and there's ten others that need to really grab it and take the pressure off him. He does so much for us but, at the same time, I'm sure when he starts scoring things will change."
