Leeds United 2024/25 player ratings as Wilfried Gnonto dazzles but Patrick Bamford disappoints
Will Leeds United win promotion back to the Premier League? The Whites moved to within two points of the automatic promotion places after seeing off Queens Park Rangers 2-0 last weekend.
The Opta Supercomputer has backed Daniel Farke's outfit to finish first in the Championship this season. They have 29 points on the board after 15 matches. There is still a long way to go in the race for promotion, but United are on the right lines.
Their defensive solidity has been the key to the Whites' success. Goalkeeper Illan Meslier has already accumulated nine clean sheets.

But Wilfried Gnonto, Largie Ramazani, Brenden Aaronson, Joel Piroe and company have also delivered the goods in front of goal. Only leaders Sunderland have scored more goals (25) than United this term. Despite being in and out of the starting XI, Piroe has claimed six goals and two assists to play an instrumental role in their top-two push.
