Daniel Farke and Ao Tanaka missed out on October's Championship awards. The Leeds United pair were in the running for individual prizes after the club went unbeaten throughout the month of October.

Farke and Tanaka were nominated for the manager and player of the month awards respectively as the Whites chalked up nine points from five matches. Summer signing Tanaka produced a string of outstanding performances in the middle of the park after coming into the side following injuries to Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev.

But the judging panel for the player of the month prize, comprising of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL chief executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies selected Norwich City's Borja Sainz as the winner. The Spaniard notched four goals in five outings, including a brace in their 3-3 draw at home to Middlesbrough.

There was also disappointment for Farke, with Sunderland's Regis Le Bris crowned the manager of the month. Le Bris has worked wonders since taking over the reins at the Stadium of Light, leading the Wearside club to the top of the table.

Third-placed United, beaten by Millwall in midweek, are back in action tomorrow. They entertain Queens Park Rangers looking to record a fifth successive home win. The R's will travel to West Yorkshire with a number of injury concerns as they bid to halt a 10-match winless run and pull clear of the relegation zone.

Saturday's clash is the final fixture before the November international break.
